DR. COVERT IS AN EXPERIENCED, BOARD CERTIFIED PSYCHIATRIST, WHO TREATS INJURED DEFENSE BASE ACT WORKERS FOR PTSD, PAIN, DEPRESSION AND OTHER COMPENSABLE CONDITIONS.

Any physical or psychological injury suffered by a civilian contractor for the US government, especially in war zones like Iraq or Afghanistan, are covered by the Defense Base Act. The Defense Base Act is a statute passed by the U.S. Senate that provides for medical, surgical and psychiatric care, as well as lump sum settlements, for injured federal contractors who worked on US military bases abroad, regardless of their nationality or job function. Their jobs have included security, construction, interpreting, clerks and laborers.

The injured workers must give notice to their employer within 30 days of the injury and find medical professionals to treat them as well as a DBA attorney to represent them.

There is a 1 to 2 year statute of limitations.
